- Today the wind is blowing in Yzerfontein. The wonderful sight of flocks of intermingled terns in flight along our sunny coastline is about to come to an end for this part of the year. Many are summer migrants and with winter approaching they are about to leave for a warmer North. Fewer remain year round and are always special to see. In September they will announce the approach of summer by their arrival. Hopefully there will have been lots of rain in the interim.
