In Yzerfontein these plovers range along 16 Mile Beach.
Whitefronted Plovers can be seen as individuals or in pairs.
If disturbed at the nest, the adult White-fronted Plover will fly away and pretend to have a broken wing so that the predator would become more interested in it as easy prey than the young chicks left behind.
