African Hoopoe.
An African Hoopoe ‘anting’. The bird stirs up an ant nest into fight mode. It spreads its wings and the ants are able to remove mites, fleas and ticks from the feathers.
The African Hoopoe forages on the ground and is frequently seen in Urban areas.
