Southern Black Korhaan male.
A Southern Black Korhaan female in flight over the fisherman’s market, Yzerfontein. They are seen much less frequently than the males. When they are disturbed at their habitat the male tends to leave, call loudly and display prominently in order to distract predators from the female and the nest.
