YZERFONTEIN URBAN CONSERVANCY / BEWAREA

Yellow-billed Kite 126 Geelbekwou

Yellow-billed Kites fly into Yzerfontein to herald the coming summer and leave when the colder weather sets in. The forked tail guides their arial displays and it is easier to identify them from this characteristic than the yellow bill. They are far more prolific over Yzerfontein than the Black Kite.
