We went to share a wonderful meal with friends at Groote Post, and passed a Korhaan male along the way. He is far more frequently seen than the female and chicks. When danger approaches he calls loudly, they lay down in the tall grass and disappear, while he deals with the danger in conspicuous ways. A brave bird and one that I will always stop to admire.
