an insect (in the early stages of being a cricket) on a marigold flower

A nymph is described as a mythological sprite, a beautiful female inhabiting nature; or it the young version of an insect not changing form much as it grows older. Go figure. Life and language inhabiting its own mysterious logic.

When wood mimics life it can take on uncanny features: here in this piece I see the eye, trunk and tusk of an elephant. Much better than feeling wooden when looking at life.
